I was leaving work today and I saw this amazing sight. I couldn't help but take my camera out a take a picture. I wish I had taken a photography class. Look at this.

End of June

The weekend the kids were with their Dad and had an awesome time at the pool and had a BBQ as well. They made huge water balloon s and played on an octopus float. I bought lots of spray on sunblock so they wouldn't burn, so I am happy it was used. They are so dark, they definitely look more Hispanic now. Haha... anyway,we are looking forward to a great 4th of July this weekend. Looking to see what we are going to do.

Date Night!

So this past Saturday was date night. The kids hung out with Tiffany who sat for me. (Paulo's nursery leader.) Then Barry and I went out for dinner and spend the evening walking around Concord Mills and playing old school games at Dave'N'Buster's. We had so much fun. We did find a funny baby hat that had to be modeled. Yoda!!! What's even funnier is that they played Spaceballs on TV Sunday. Fabiana turned to Barry and asked him if he was in the movie. I laughed a bit and turned to Barry. He asked me if he really did look a lot like Bill Pullman. I told him that he was much better looking then Bill, but that there was a big resemblance. Then Fabi asked him if he was incognito. I about past out. I thought that was too funny,

BMW's Woohooo!!!!!

Okay, this last weekend I did not have the kids. I spent Friday night watching TV and lazing around. Then Saturday I went to the gym, shampooed the seats in my car (long over due) and watch the Argentina vs Nigeria game. GO ARGENTINA!!! Anyway, then Barry came over and I cooked dinner and we spent all evening cuddled up in front of the TV. Don't worry Dad, all hands were on deck. Then he went home. Sunday afternoon we went to Tennessee on his motorcycle and got soaking wet. I had an awesome time. Again,Dad, at no point was my life in danger. He is quite the pro. He even took the curves a little slower,even though I egged him on. So he it is Monday and I spent the evening with the boys and Barry (again) watching a Police Academy marathon that they were running on CMT. Lucas and Paulo spilled all of the laundry detergent on the carpet in their room so as I washed them off, Barry salvaged as much as he could and then vacuumed the carpet as well. Well, I am tired and ready for bed. Thankfully, that was the only unexpected event. (Thank goodness):-)

Brooks & Dunn are Done :-(

Wow,I got to see Brooks & Dunn last night. The "Last Rodeo" Tour. I am so sad they are retiring. From 1990-2010. They thanked us for paying their rent for the past 20 yrs. I thought that was funny. My Maria!!! They played the heck out of that song. They are such great entertainers. It was certainly worth it. I did get a shirt as well./ A little pricey, but my first favorite country band is now done. It was so awesome. I have been listening to them since I was in middle school. I have such mixed emotions. I didn't realize the nostalgia I would feel. Thanks Dad for turning me on to country so many years ago! I love it. Wow!!

Almost Through and Just Beginning

Hey everyone. We are so excited school will be out next Thursday. The kids already have their summer reading lists and are excited. Fabi spent an hour in 4th grade today and JD in 2nd grade. The school gives them a sneak preview of what they are in for next year. JD did some cursive writing and it was awesome!! He is ready to go! Fabi said it was nothing surprising to her. She is too smart for her own good. If she gets too bored in class,I might talk to the principle about Fabi skipping a grade. She scored a perfect 4 on all portions of her EOGs. The EOGs are a nationwide test that kids 3rd grade and up take to make sure they are finishing up the school year on grade level. Fabi apparently, got all of the answers correct on all of the questions!! The test takes a week to administer and it is amazing to me that she got a perfect score. They say it is not common in our county. I guess that doesn't say much for the school system in Mecklenburg County. Hopefully next year we will be in Fort Mill, SC. (that is if I don;t go back North) They have one one the top 5 school districts in the country! That would be awesome!! We'll see. Wow,I won;t get a break from school though. It's okay,I can;t wait to finish in February of 2013! I know sounds light years away but we'll be here soon.
Ah, we are getting into the World cup this month. We are grouped nicely and am sure we will make it to the finals!!! Brig it on Brazil and weep!! We or someone else will whoop your fanny!!! Samba won't help you on the field!! Let's see if we can get it together and work as a team and not as individual rock stars! Wahhoooo!!! Bring it!!
