Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was awesome since Mom and Dad came. We all had a terrific time although it was short lived. Today I went and bought a Christmas tree and put up the lights. I put up all the bigger ornaments and let the kids put up the little ones. Love that Wallyworld has plastic kid proof ones. I only lost one last year! That was great! We are so excited for Christmas this year and hope that we are able to spread the Christmas spirit of charity and selflessness to all those whom we are in contact with directly or indirectly.
Oh, Barry just bought himself a great fixer upper. It is a 1973 Norton 750 Commmando. He is very excited as he stripped her down to the bare minimum and saw where he had to begin. It is a beautiful bike with a lot of potential and I know that he will do it more then justice and lots of class. He has such a passion for British bikes and a true love of their individual styles. I am so anxious to see the finished product.
May the Lord bless each one of you in your homes and in your lives. Merry Christmas!!!

The 10 Commandments

Hello All,
Yesterday for FHE we talked about the 10 Commandments. I couldn't help but think this might be a great time to review them since they needed to be "nice" and not "naughty." They loved it. We even have a dry erase board where we've spelled it all out. I hope it sticks. I asked Paulo a question and he blamed Fabi. JD stood up and told me that he was lying. His exact words were, "No,no!!! Mom, he is bearing false witness against Fabi!." Then he turned himself in for the crime. So cute. So so cute. He is very sweet!
Remember the Lord in all you do and your attitude and outlook will change. It beings rather forced and almost obligated, but as you grow to know Him better, He will become part of you in every sense. We wish everyone the best holidays and all the love in the world. Merry Christmas!

Look at how young Fabi and JD look! Oh man, I hope I can get bette at this aging thing. It doesn't do well with my heart! LOL!! Enjoy!!

Pumpkin Time!

Its that time of year and we carved out three of the five pumpkins we bought. Fabiana has her still to figure out and Barry will do one this Friday night. I had a mishap though. I was cutting the top off of the second pumpkin and litterally jabbed my thumb with the knife. Blood was everywhere and I was in utter pain. I have never flet that kind of pain in my life. Trust me, you never want to be stabbed. Took me 10 minutes or so to gain my composure. I was thinking every curse word there was. I sure that the Man Upstairs understands and gives me some credit for not vocalizing them in front of the kids. Man! Wow, for a minute there I even got a little dizzy. Child labor is different. Fabi of course said giving birth had to be more painful. I reminded that at that precise moment, giving birth was nothing. Poor Fabi, she ran the boys out of the kitchen because she could see the look on my face as I told everyone to , "GET OUT!" Yikes... scary mommy tonight. Oh, and no sympathy from the boys.... "We're still carving pumpkins, right?" You gotta love 'em.

Concord Mills Kid Zone

The boys absolutely love this place. Fabiana was at a birthday party so we came to pass the time so we wouldn't have to drive home and then drive back. I still hate this place. Kid zone places drive me crazy. One day the parent of one of these kids will sue me. My boys are so rough and just keep going as they plow down other kids. Ooops.

A Day at the Park

Son this past Saturday I only had Lucas and Paulo. Fabiana and JD were with their grandma Mimi. So I met up with Tiffany,a co-worker of mine..not my sitter, and we went to Monkey Joe's, had lunch at Tony's Pizzeria and then went to the park. NOT a day in the park. I needed a nap more than they did. Thanks Tiffany for a great day!! The boys had a blast as I did. I will upload photos as soon as I can find my data USB cable for my phone.

Charleston with Barry

This was a two and a half day weekend away from all the things that give us heartburn. Missed the kids the whole time, but had a wonderful time with Barry. He is so amazing and am constantly surprised by his generosity and compassionate nature. He is so kind and so extremely funny. He and Dad will have no problems getting along when they come for Thanksgiving. I can't wait for the two most important men in my life to meet. We we come holidays!!!

More Pictures From Last Weekend

Sugarland and Sky Diving

Hello everyone. Wow,It has been a few weeks since our last post. This last weekend Barry and I went to the Verizon Amphitheater and saw a country band called Sugarland play. They were phenomenal. They sound better in concert then on the radio. It was amazing! Then on Sunday, what I thought was going to be a leisurely bike ride turned into "SKY DIVING!" Take a look.

The Summer is Over and School Starts!!

Hello Everyone!
Well school has officially started. Paulo started pre-school on Monday. Fabiana and JD started yesterday and Lucas will start on Monday or Tuesday. He will meet his teacher tomorrow and she will let us know when he will start. Fabiana has already tested my heart. The teacher sent her on the wrong bus and she was returned to school. Thankfully our after school sitter was able to pick her up from school. I about died when I got the text saying, "Fabi did not come home on the bus with JD." YIKES!! Talk about going nuts. I was at work and so busy. I called the school and then the sitter and in 1/2 an hour she was home. Phew!!! Dodged a bullet there. My sweet sweet baby! Anyway, we are all excited and hope the year goes well. Work is very very busy and I am hoping that I can keep up with it.Good night everyone!

Paulo and the Beach!

This is Paulo relentlessly trying to fill his sand pool with water.Bless his heart! He is still learning.

Charleston 08.2010

So Christine and I planned our beach trip during Spring Break and it is finally here. We spent the morning driving and then a good 1 or so in Wal-Mart making sure we had everything we needed. I was excited because it took Paulo a few weeks to go into the sprinkler. Thankfully the weekends he spent with his Dad at the beach helped out. He ran right in an Lucas as well and loved it. JD was a pro and Fabi was a great boogie board instructor. We ended the day with dinner at Red Lobster. I had steak, what a compromise for me. Well, good night and we hope to tomorrow is even better.

Roller Derby

My boss had gone to one of these roller derbies in May and had a blast. So Barry and I went Saturday evening. It was fun. I would have had more playing. Barry think I would do very well. I even thought of a name. Most names are rather trashy.I like "sassy minx." I think it suits me.LOL!!

Amazing

I was leaving work today and I saw this amazing sight. I couldn't help but take my camera out a take a picture. I wish I had taken a photography class. Look at this.

End of June

The weekend the kids were with their Dad and had an awesome time at the pool and had a BBQ as well. They made huge water balloon s and played on an octopus float. I bought lots of spray on sunblock so they wouldn't burn, so I am happy it was used. They are so dark, they definitely look more Hispanic now. Haha... anyway,we are looking forward to a great 4th of July this weekend. Looking to see what we are going to do.
